Affiliate disclosure
Korea Field Notes is free to read. To pay for it, some guides contain affiliate links: links to booking services where, if you buy something after clicking, the site may receive a commission from that company. The price you pay is the same as going to the site directly.
Which programmes
We use (or plan to use) affiliate programmes from travel booking companies such as Klook, GetYourGuide, Viator, Trip.com and eSIM providers, some of them through the Travelpayouts network. The exact provider is always named on the link card itself.
How affiliate links are marked
- Guides that contain affiliate links show a short notice near the top.
- Affiliate links appear as clearly labelled cards marked "partner", naming the provider.
- These links carry
rel="sponsored"so search engines can identify them.
What affiliate links don't change
Commissions don't decide what goes into a guide. If the cheaper or better option for you is an official site with no commission — Korail's own booking site, a carrier counter at the airport, a free city pass — the guide says so. Facts are checked against official sources as described in the editorial policy.
Advertising
The site may show display advertising (for example Google AdSense) in the future. Ads will be visually distinct from editorial content. See the privacy policy for how ad cookies work.
